As we get ready to flip the calendar to September, I want to encourage you with this:
In 1975, Gary Dahl created the pet rock. If you have no clue what that is, it’s simply that–a rock that came packaged in a box that you pretended was your pet.
Google it.
I’m being for real.
It was not a special rock in the least.
It didn’t do anything other than the regular-run-of-the-mill-things a rock normally does.
Dahl sold 1.5 million pet rocks at $4/rock.
That’s $6,000,000.
Six. Million. Dollars.
For a rock in a box.
You can’t make this up.
God bless America–the land of opportunity!
Test1_Girlie, I don’t know what your prayer, hope, idea or dream is, but I know this: it’s most likely better than Dahl’s pet rock. How do I know this? Because almost anything is better than a rock as a pet.
