You thought I was kidding, didn’t you, sunshine?
I seriously have nothing to give today.
I’m emotionally and spiritually tapped out, but I know that my dear friend Amanda relies upon the consistency of my 2-times-a-week-emails, so my message to you today is simple: give yourself permission to be vulnerable.
Show up.
Be honest.
As challenging as it may be, say, think and live from a space of truth and honesty–no masks allowed.
There are far too many who live hidden.
It’s time to be brave.
It’s time to unplug for a minute, to remove my permasmile and admit:
“Life is really pissy…I have nothing profound to share with the world today.”
Thankfully God hasn’t given up on me.
And a double dose of gratitude: He’s sent me wise, godly counsel in the form of beautiful, strong and vulnerable women who inspire me to live raw and real.
Brene Brown conveys the message of vulnerability so powerfully.
“Vulnerability is not weakness.
And that myth is profoundly dangerous.
Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creative, and change.”
My highest hope and prayer is that my vulnerable state of nothingness will bless someone and create something new, too.
If this person is you, sunshine, let me know–I’ll have yet another reason to thank God for this time and space of confusion.
With a heart full of vulnerability, |
