I firmly believe in generational blessings, after all I am recipient of them.
Because of these two strong and mighty women of God, my mother and grandmother, I have been blessed abundantly.
These women lavished me with unconditional love, poured into me with wisdom, and encouraged me stretch and grow as I pursued my dreams.
But here’s the best blessing they ever gave me: they demonstrated what it meant to trust God and love Jesus.
These women endured great trials, yet used them as teaching opportunities–usually without speaking a word. (I have yet to master that non-speaking part. #workinprogress)
I’m humbled.
I’m grateful.
I’m blessed.
My mom and nana share March 7th birthdays; my mom is celebrating 71, and my nana celebrates every day in eternity. I am confident of this.
I am honored to carry the legacy of faith and love that these women have gifted to me and hope and pray that despite not having children of my own, my life will be filled with bountiful fruit as I seek to continue the legacy they gifted unto me.
What legacy are you a part of, sunshine?
Who left it for you?
How do you continue this legacy into the next generation?
“So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you.
We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will
and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.”
Col 1:9 NLT
