My friend Kristen sent this cartoon a few weeks ago. I chuckled at the comic’s use of satire to poke fun at our health-food-crazed-culture.
Veganism.
Mercury-free fish.
Gluten-obsession.

And then in typical FF fashion, I thought, “How does this relate to me?” (I try to make personal connections and relationships to everyday occurrences to grow and learn. Some may call it overanalyzing…hmmmm. #notwhereiwas #onmyway #transformation)

While I attempt a healthy diet most of the time, I do not adhere to any of the healthy eating options, yet I completely related to the members of the crowd. And if I was a betting woman, I’d bet you can too, sunshine.

How often does God present a blessing to us, yet we question Him and refuse it because it might not “fit” our way of living?

I won’t speak on your behalf, sunshine, but I can admit that all too often I overlook His miracles because of my pride, anger, frustration, impatience, greed, and…I think you get the picture.

My highest hope and prayer is that you take a few minutes to stop, reflect, and ask God if there is any blessing before you that you are overlooking because it doesn’t “fit” the way you are living or the way you want to live.

He promises to bless you, but you must do your part and open your eyes.

“Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,
“Oh that You would bless me and enlarge my territory!
Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.”
And God granted his request.”
