In the Bible, the number 40 is mentioned 146X in scripture, or 149 depending on the translation.
The number generally symbolizes a period of testing, trial and then, finally, victory!
Through hardships lasting 40 days like when Jesus was in the wilderness or 40 years like the Israelites who wandered around the desert this number is rooted in significance to triumph and the fulfillment of God’s promises coming to pass.
Well, I don’t know about you, but I’ve gotten sloppy with some of my healthy habits and spiritual disciplines over the last few years and could really use some structure and accountability to walk in victory and experience the fulfillment of God’s promises!
