2/2/22 was my backup date to my original 12/31/21 wedding date.
If you look at the image above–my 2021 vision board–you might see some red hearts on the left with the two hot pink arrows highlighting the image. If you look to the right, you will see “Miss to Mrs.”
Both of these dates mark hopeful and anticipated wedding dates from this past year, despite not going on a single date.
10/4/2002
12/1/2007
11/11/2011
2/14/2016
12/31/2021
2/2/2022
Further, ALL of the dates listed right here are dates of anticipated and much prayed for wedding dates (the 1st two are legit dates from engagements before I broke them off). You can say I am kind of obsessed with numbers and hopefully devoted to the idea of one day being married.
In the Bible, numbers are a big deal.
The number 2 signifies agreement.
The number 22 means personal revelation because of its reference to light. (Check out podcast ep #106 here for more about that.)
While I am tempted to be disappointed that God has yet to answer my prayer or change my heart’s desire to be married, I stand upon His Word and add a new date to my 2022 vision board: 12/31/22.
Friend, if you are in a season of praying and waiting–
for the prodigal to come home
for health to be restored
for the relationship to be mended
for your financial situation to improve
I encourage you to find a scripture to stand upon and pray over in 2022;then write your prayer. There is weight and magnitude when you write it, not just think it or even say it.
I believe that together we will one day see the answer to our prayers–perhaps even here on earth. Until then, I am going to keep building The Kingdom, praising and praying, and I invite you to do the same.
Here are a few promises to consider praying:
- “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corin 2:9 NLT
- “The one who calls you by name is trustworthy and will thoroughly complete his work in you.: 1 Thess 5:23 TPT
- “God began a good work in you. And I am sure that he will carry it on until it is completed. That will be on the day Christ Jesus returns.” Phil 1:6 NIRV
- “His faith did not leave him, and he did not doubt God’s promise; his faith filled him with power, and he gave praise to God.” Rom 4:20 GNT
Let me join you in praying.
